Today, I’m sharing 19 easy DIY wall art ideas with you that I’ve done and shared over the years. All 14 of ’em!

Hope you enjoy these creative ways to create wall art or art in general for your home.

Let’s start with the most recent and move to the oldies (but goodies!).

Created Inexpensive Artwork with Transfers

A white mantle with gold hooks holds a potted plant and three framed blue and white prints, including one labeled Maison de Paris, showing how you can create inexpensive artwork with transfers against a light-colored wall.

I used pretty blue transfers to update these cheapie dollar store finds.

Upcycled Framed Print Set

This print set features two framed prints of herons standing among beach grass and sand, with the ocean and sky behind. The light wood frames rest on a hardwood floor beside a wall, adding an elegant touch to any space.

I created these using ChatGPT. I literally described, down to the last detail, what I wanted the photos to look like.

Quite a different look with paint and new prints.

I used transfers again for these but did a layered effect which I just love!

I love this one! I purposely did not include “word signs”, etc., just trying to share actual art style makeovers. But I felt like this one sort of qualified because it feels more like wall art than just a sign.

A large, ornate white picture frame holds a beach scene wall art photograph of a sandy path leading to the ocean, bordered by grass and a wooden fence, displayed on a shelf against a pale wall.

I think sometimes simply painting something all white elevates it somehow. Don’t you agree??
The print was a photo I took in the Outer Banks, printed and placed inside the now all-white frame.

It certainly makes it the standout of the piece.

DIY Coastal Beach Prints

Two framed photographs with white ornate borders, featuring coastal beach prints—a bridge on the left and a building on the right—hang side by side on a dark olive green wall. The wall is plain and unadorned.

This was all about using what you have. The two print/artwork pieces were no longer my style. So I changed them up with photos I took, a little paint, and some rope/string.

By the way, this was the second time I changed these prints up! There were pink rose prints under the butterflies originally.
