A 2025 ACR Wrap Up! Part 2
Hope you are enjoying the end-of-year wrap-up of our amazing, fun projects from 2025!
Hello friends!
I’m back with Part 2 of the projects completed here in 2025.
In case you missed it…
At the start of every new year, I usually do a roundup of the top posts, top furniture makeovers, etc., but this year I thought I’d revisit everything that happened here on the blog over the past year instead.
So let’s see all the fun things we shared here, and then begin anew!
Hope you enjoy taking a walk back with me today. :)
EDITED: As I started writing and sharing, I realized I have more 2025 projects than I realized, so I will split this into two posts. I shared the first half on Tuesday; you can see it here. I am sharing the second half today.
A 2025 ACR Wrap Up, Part 2
Small Dresser Makeover with Cambridge

Remember this one?? So unique with those pulls.
One could say “dated,” don’t you think? But I just had to keep them.

I painted the small chest in the beautiful blue Cambridge color and added some gold to all the edges.
Then I brightened up those “dated” pulls.

Added a bit of glitz to the drawers with these transfers, too.

Such a fun piece!

Flipping Smalls, Coastal Style

Another round of smalls. Fun, fun!
I used white paint, distressed it, and added nautical transfers.

You can find all the details of these makeovers here.
French Provincial Nightstand Makeover

Well, this one was a little challenging. Of my own, of course. I changed my mind midway.

But it ended up so pretty with the floral front and the decoupage fiber paper I chose.
Plus, painted interior drawers and surprise transfers, too.

It’s fun to step outside of the box sometimes!

Thrifted Jewelry Box Update

I make over lots of jewelry boxes. You can find them in abundance at thrift stores.

I painted it white and added these pretty rose transfers.

And a few surprises inside, too.

Find all the makeover details and see the inside here.
Refreshed Stained Furniture

I gave my small round coffee table and end tables a refresh with Stain and Finishing Oil.

And reduced the orangey tone at the same time.

How To Create Deckled Edge Artwork
I found these chargers(??) at the thrift store and turned them into artwork.

This paper and tool were perfect for creating the center art. You can find the paper here and the deckle tool here.

Print your favorite photo, then rip it with the tool. That’s it!

French Country Style Table Makeover

Look at those pretty turned legs.
Everything feels kind of lost in the “before” state to me, though.

So I painted it and added gold embellishments here and there.
And a pretty French-style transfer on top.

Painting Ceiling Adds Warmth

Pretty simple!
If you want more info, see the post here.
Update Old Artwork with Decor Transfers

I love finding old art at the thrift store and making it over. There are so many design possibilities.
I painted the frames white and used white paper for the new art.

Then covered the backs with this script transfer.

And added pretty rose transfers right over top of that.

The cardboard squares underneath gave it some depth and interest.

All the details for this fun project are here.
Hanging Prepasted Strippable Wallpaper

By far, one of my favorites this year. It just added SO much! Love, love it.

Hello Fall Porch Sign

The Hello Fall sign I made… and remade. Haha! Only me!
In retrospect, they were both fine, but I just did not like the heavy block font.

Find all the details for the sign here.
Decoupage Tissue Paper Flatware Box Makeover

I’ve done bunches of these too. And this one was a bear! As many of them are.
The insides just don’t come out easily most times.

But pretty tissue paper for the win.

Here it is finished.

The inside is pretty too.
See it here and get all the rest of the makeover details.
Blue Pumpkins Thankful Tray

Just because something is new and already “done” like this dollar store tray, doesn’t mean you can’t make it over.
This one got a new “fall” look with white paint and blue transfers.

Oh, and a vinyl stencil I made for the middle.

Paint A Wood Look Finish

Gosh, who knew how much I’d love this piece once it was done? I certainly did not. But I do!
I sat with this one a long time before I finally decided which way to go.

And the way I went was paint and stain to give it a wood look. A wood-look very unlike its original wood-look.

Create Inexpensive Artwork with Transfers

Another great example of brand-new, cheap artwork remade.
Simple too. Just spray them all white.

And add pretty transfers!

Love these.

DIY Holiday Decor with Thrifted Frames

And finally, these old thrifted art prints became holiday decor.
Print new designs to size, cut them out…

…new art! Easy!

You can find all the details here.
PIN it to save it!

And that about wraps up 2025 for projects on the blog! Don’t forget there’s a lot more than that here, though. I’ve shared home decor and updates throughout the year, too. Take a look here to see more.
For the new year, 2026, I am sure I’ll do lots of fun home decor crafts, makeovers, etc., but I’d love to do more furniture makeovers… as in refinishing, not as much painting. I adore paint and painting, and love what it can do to a piece of furniture. However, I have been loving wood pieces so much lately. I just feel a desire to bring things back to life in that way. We’ll see!
I hope you will follow along with me this year! I have some other things I’m hoping to implement, too.
Thank you for an amazing 2025, and for following along with me. New and old friends alike… I am SO very happy you are here!
xoxo

Awesome makeovers. I can’t wait until I see 2026.
Thanks, Rebecca!! xo
