Hope you enjoy seeing a wrap-up of our amazing and fun projects from 2025! This is part 1; come back later this week for part 2.

Hello beautiful friends!!

And Happy New Year! Who’s ready for a brand new start? A fresh new year? I am, and I’m excited for possibly some changes this year…some new things too, perhaps?? It’s time to shake things up a little. What do you say? Let’s do it! lol

But today…it’s all about 2025. What? Yes, let’s go back and celebrate 2025 and all the projects we got completed before we step fully into 2026. It might be nice too, since you may have missed a few along the way.

At the start of every new year, I usually do a roundup of the top posts, top furniture makeovers, etc., but this year I thought I’d revisit everything that happened here on the blog over the past year instead.

So let’s see all the fun things we shared here, and then begin anew!

Hope you enjoy taking a walk back with me today. :)

EDITED: As I started writing and sharing, I realized I have more 2025 projects than I realized so that I will split this into two posts. I’ll share the first half today and the second half on Thursday. So don’t forget to come back to see the rest!

A 2025 ACR Wrap Up

Let’s start with the very first project of the year and work our way to the last, shall we? By the way, these will be project-only posts, not decorating or travel-related posts.

Glass Top Table Makeover

wood table with glass top

What a steal for $5, right?

One of the pieces that holds the mirror was cracked/broken, though…

wood arm broken with putty

I painted it white and added this pretty transfer.

pink floral and black script transfer

From broken and sad to beautiful and ready to be reloved.

How To Paint Suede-Like Material

tan suede boot with orangey suede belt

You know I’ve painted chairs, pillows, vinyl, and leather before. So, is this any surprise?? haha NOPE!

And it worked great!

I took a belt I didn’t wear and turned it into something that I do. With paint.

Flipping Smalls #3

two wood boxes on counter

I love changing up and making over these smalls. They are so fun to do (and perfect for honing your skills).

The small box needed glue in several places.

But after that was all fixed up, I absolutely love the new woodtone I gave it.

The little wooden box is so sweet with white paint and this pretty rose transfer.

These smalls are perfect for gift giving too.

DIY Tiled Side Table Makeover

angled corner wood stained table with asian influence

How fun is this one?

I did like those wood elements, but decided to change the table’s look completely instead.

I painted it white and tiled the bottom shelf with this pretty tile here. (The original ones I got are out of stock, but I found these peel-and-stick ones instead)

Love the new, fresh look! Tile is so much fun to “play” with on furniture makeovers. They add so much interest and design.

DIY Etched Tumblers with Citristrip

This was a fun project! But I wouldn’t do a thousand of them!! lol

Wood Bench Update

Next up was this pretty wooden bench… with a chewed corner.

But I fixed it up.

Then added these pretty transfers to the seat.

Isn’t it so sweet now??

Update Backsplash with Vinyl Tile

blue vinyl tile piece holding up to current kitchen tile

I’ve disliked this tile in our condo since we bought it. We haven’t gotten to the whole kitchen remodel yet (new appliances, though), so we decided to cover it up for the time being. Just a little refresh to get us through until we fully finish up this condo with the kitchen update.

I adore it! If I could find tile like it, I may even use something similar when we do this with the real thing. This vinyl tile is available here.
You can see the recent Condo Remodel REVEAL here if you are interested in seeing that.

wood box, wood bowel and glass jars with transfers on counter

Last Easter, I made over these three things with transfers. So many pretty things were made, and simple too.

I love projects like these. They are fun to do with kids or grandkids, too.

I made this sign for our condo.

Dated Bread Box Update

stained wood bread box

Bread boxes are in abundance at the thrift store. Go get a few and make them over! You can use them for so many things, plus they are great to practice your painting, transferring, etc, skills.

I painted this one white and added these pretty blue bird/flower transfers.

Update Decor with Stain and Finishing Oil

I loved these framed prints, but the frames were a little too orange-y for my liking.

pretty wall art with orangey frames

So I changed them up!

Just a subtle change with Stain and Finishing Oil, but so much better.

Child’s Rocker Makeover

dark stained childs rocker

I love the wood, but decided to paint this one to make it a little more child-like.

Added transfers add to the wonder and beauty of this sweet makeover, too.

Antique Washstand Refresh

wood washstand

This was a keeper. I haven’t found a place for it yet, but I don’t really want to let it go.

I kept the woodgrain but gave it a more washed look instead.

I feel like this color goes perfectly with its distressed state.

Hope you enjoy seeing a wrap up of our amazing and fun projects from 2025! This is part 1, come back later this week for part 2.

Have a great week!! I’ll see you back here on Thursday with Part 2!
