Hello friends!

I’m doing things a little backward but hey, it’s still January so it’ll be okay! Today I’m sharing the top ten most popular/most visited projects of 2023. There’s a little home DIY and furniture makeovers too.

It’s always fun before starting a fresh new year to look back to see what was of most interest to you all. And to just sort of see how the year ended up, projects completed, etc. I hope you enjoy taking a look back too!

10 Elderberry Stand with Blossomed Beauties Transfer

I used the beautiful rich Elderberry color and Blossomed Beauties transfer on this one.

9 Easy Way To Glaze Painted Furniture

Here’s how it started…

I couldn’t bring myself to cover up that pretty center area of the wood top. Isn’t it lovely?
I used Chestler, which was one of our new blues. Then I applied a custom glaze using Ash paint and Clear Glaze. The wood top area got a coat of Cappuccino Stain & Finishing Oil to freshen it up.

8 Paint Your Ceiling Dark

Here is how it started…

I’d wanted to do this for a long while…and finally did it! A quick and easy update that adds so much!

7 Mid-Century Modern Slatted Bar Stool Makeover

Here is how it started…

So sweet and whimsical! AND done with napkins! Love that.

6 Bleach Wood with Stain

Here is how it started…

We gave it a few modifications to modernize it plus the beautiful “bleached” drawer fronts and dark paint.
I used both Driftwood & White Stain & Finishing Oil to get the wood look. Then our deep, rich Chocolate color with Cappuccino Stain over top for the rest of the dresser.

5 Antique Cabinet Makeover

Here is how it started…

I used Willowbank on this one, such a beautiful blue! For richness, I added a Coal Black tinted Glaze.
I also did some napkin decoupage on the inside of this one.

4 How To Hang Peel and Stick Wallpaper

Here is how it started…

Here is how it ended up…

I loved our bathroom before but just wanted a change. And peel-and-stick wallpaper is a great choice! Easy to apply and remove when you are ready for a change yet again. Here is the peel-and-stick wallpaper I used.

3 Easy DIY Light Wood Finish

I used a similar stain technique as the dresser above. White Stain first, Driftwood second.

2 Magazine Holder End Table

I used one of my favorite colors on this one… Seaside. Well, two favorites! I dry brushed with French Eggshell.

1 How To Paint Leather

No surprise here!! This was a very popular post and project, and for good reason. I’m still floored at how well this worked!
Absolutely one of my favorite makeovers. I plan on doing a larger piece sometime this year. I used a custom blend of three colors to make this perfect shade, Chocolate, Mustard and Cranberry.

  1. Hello, my first choice would be how to bleach wood with stain. I love the look of the dresser it turned out amazing! My second pick would be how to paint leather with paint, again I love how you piece turned out! šŸ˜Š

    As far as painting, I’d say my fav is your dresser. My daughter has that exact dresser – it’s so hard to believe it is the same one. I appreciate your lesson on how to paint to make it blanches wood. I love that look. But my VERY fav is your wallpaper in your bathroom. It is so awesome and looks so great. You took your room to a whole new level doing that.

    I have a half bath I’d love to do it to – but its windowless and I am too afraid it would just be too dark to look right. But you have great light in there, for the win!!
