Sharing all about the brand new paint line…Alchemy by Fusion today!

Hello sweet friends!

I’m popping in today to let you know about a brand new paint line by Fusion Mineral Paint that I am super excited to share with you all!

Now, first let me say that I absolutely LOVE Fusion Mineral Paint. It is an amazing paint with amazing durability, ease of use, gorgeous colors and so much more. This new paint is not meant to be “in place of” or “in competition with” that line. It’s meant to be more of a compliment to it, or just another choice. Just like Milk Paint is another type of paint choice. Which I also have some exciting news about that today too.

But first, let’s talk about Alchemy by Fusion.

YOUR CREATIVITY, OUR PAINT.

At FusionTM, we’re on a journey of creative transformation.
We’ve taken on the roll of paint alchemists and blended together our leading lines – FusionTM Mineral Paint & Milk Paint; a blend of acrylic, limestone and chalk.
Unearth the secrets of our curated palette, meticulously crafted to evoke the mystique of bygone eras. Every pint of Alchemy holds the promise of turning your furniture into a story, a masterpiece, an heirloom of time.

BLENDED PERFECTION

Alchemy offers FusionTM’s high-performance resin for exceptional durability, Milk Paint’s rich pigmentation and natural adhesion for effortless application, and the flat finish of a classic chalk-style paint—all in one easy-to-use formula. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time, or are an advanced furniture painter,  Alchemy is your creative partner.

From the moment you dip your brush, you become the alchemist of your own design.

FINISH IT YOUR WAY

Compared to other chalk-style paints, this unique formulation means stronger durability, deeper colour, and a smooth, forgiving application that requires no topcoat for most pieces. If you’re painting a high-traffic surface or wanting to increase the sheen, a topcoat is always recommended.

Want to enhance the look?

Add a tinted wax for depth, or a glaze for dimension—the choice is yours. Whether you leave it raw and flat or enhance it with a finish, Alchemy adapts to your vision, making every piece uniquely yours.

How to Use Alchemy by Fusion

Step 1: Prep
Clean your surface to remove dust, grease, or residues. (Alchemy offers excellent adhesion to most surfaces with minimal prep work. While sanding and priming are rarely necessary, we recommend cleaning the surface to remove dust and grease. For slick surfaces like laminate or glass, a light scuff sand will improve adhesion.)

Step 2: Paint
Apply 1-2 coats of Alchemy. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next. Some vibrant hues will need additional coats for full coverage.

Step 3: Finish
Alchemy does not require a topcoat, but it is recommended for areas prone to water or heavy use. Choose from a wide variety of top coats offered by Fusion. Such as clear or coloured waxes, water-based acrylic or water-based polyurethanes are offered in various sheens.

  • Furniture Wax for a soft, chalky finish is a great option and so easy to apply compared to other Chalk type paints!  Tip: Buff with an applicator pad or natural bristle brush for a classic waxed look with ease!

I’m very excited about this paint. I love blending paints similar to how I did this piece below…

…I used another brand of chalk style paint on this one as it was quite a few years ago now. But I just adore this blended type of finish and look forward to having that type of flexibility with this new paint line! Oh, the possibilities!

As great as Fusion Mineral Paint is, it’s not really made for blending such as this. I have missed being able to do that so I am beyond thrilled with this new paint line addition.

Here’s another example of the blending I am referring to with some of the new colors/paints.
