Dollar Tree Valentine’s Decoupage Door Hanger
This Dollar Tree Valentine’s decoupage door hanger craft is inexpensive and fun to create!
Hello friends!
It’s almost February which means Valentine’s. Do you celebrate Valentine’s with your sweetie?? We usually don’t do much because both mine and my husband’s birthdays are the week-ish before Valentine’s. So, by the time it comes, we are celebrated out!! haha!
But Valentine’s crafts are fun. So I did one.
This was a super easy (and cheap) Dollar Tree project. I challenged myself to go in and find something I could make out of what I found.
And this is what I did.
A little decoupage makeover.

I ended up not using the little wood hearts though. You’ll see why!
I began by spray painting the frame white. I had to prime it with Zinnser Shellac-Base Primer because it was bleeding through.
That stopped it.
Then I went over that with matte white spray paint.
Next, I measured and cut out the gift bag to fit inside the frame.
I used this cutter which makes it so easy to get straight lines, etc.
I used my favorite Decoupage Gel to attach the gift bag section to the board.
Then I pulled some pink and white florals from my stash and hot glued them to the bottom of the frame.
My glue gun is no longer available but this cordless one is what I will get next!
I love the idea of cordless because that dang cord is always getting in the way.
Here’s where the wood heart came in…and went out. lol
Too much. I decided to leave them off.
Less is more, right?
Cute hanging on the door for Valentine’s.
Outside like above or inside like below.
Or even just decor in your home. Either way!
I don’t typically decorate for Valentine’s day but if it’s your thing, this is a cute way to add a little love to your decor for the holiday.
And inexpensively too! Can’t beat Dollar store crafts.
So fun and wow, they have really upped their game lately. Lots of things in the stores these days.
PIN it to save it!
I hope you have a wonderful week! I’ll see you back here on Thursday with more!
