Hello Fall Decor Idea
Need ideas for fall? Check out this super simple and quick hello fall decor idea!
Hello friends! Happy fall!
Today I am sharing another fun “fall” creation with you! We are getting some cooler weather (mostly in the evenings, days are still hot most of the time) so I am very much feeling the fall vibe! I started doing a little out on our porch but not sure how much I really can do since we are in work mode out there.
But I do have this new one sitting out there at the moment! I will have a bit of fun fall festivity anyway.
Hello Fall Decor Idea
I found this tray at the ReStore and thought I’d do something with it! I loved the wood look and considered keeping it wood but ended up painting it instead.
I’m sorry, I thought I had a photo of painting it but apparently I did not. So here’s the deal: I painted two coats of Raw Silk, which was just enough to allow the wood grain to still show through somewhat.
This is the transfer I decided to use. It’s from the same set that I used for this project >> Fall Festive Transfer Decor
And then I thought I’d do something with some real leaves around the edge.
However, I ended up not loving that idea.
But I still wanted “leaves” somewhere on the tray…
… so pulled this other transfer out instead!

Prefer to shop on Etsy? I have an Etsy shop also, here!
I cut out several of the leaves and played around with the arrangement until I came upon something I liked.
Then I applied the “hello fall” transfer first.

See the “O”? I raised the transfer sheet too quickly and it was not quite stuck…so that got a bit messed up. But it’s all good!! haha!
Here’s how I decided to arrange some of the leaves.
Once they were on, I used a black marker to bring out the edges of the tray.
And done! Sweet (and simple!) hello fall decor!
Lots of ways you can use this.
Here it is in our foyer.
You can see the painting I did a while back in the mirror reflection. I love it and should give painting another go sometime. Here is the post if you want to see the details on it >>> DIY Blue Heron Painting
Doesn’t the black outline give it a nice finished look?
Here’s Ryder boy looking all handsome. He got a trim and bath yesterday.
And of course our Piper girl too.
The centerpiece on our dining table…would look so cute with some small pumpkins instead of those spheres, huh?
I decided to put it on this table outside…on our porch that is in need of a good cleaning! lol (Remember that tile table? It’s this one I tiled here >> DIY Tiled Table Top)
By the way, it’s getting a good cleaning and PAINT soon! (Missed that? Check out this post here>>> Home Updates)
Have you decorated for fall yet??

This came out so cute. I never would have thought to outline it in black but it did make a difference. Your dogs are, of course, as always, adorable. =)
