Glass Topped Nesting Tables Update
I gave the most simple update to these glass topped nesting tables!
Hello sweet friends!
It’s that Tuesday time again. Trashy Treasures Tuesday, that is.

I’m sharing a cutie patootie little set of glass-topped nesting tables today. I found them at the ReStore, just sitting there so sad and wonky. But you know I brought them home to give them some good reloving.
Before we get to that, have y’all entered my Spring Giveaway yet?? Don’t miss out, there’s still time! Hop on over to enter to win! –>> Enter here!
Glass Topped Nesting Tables Update

So beat up, so wobbly.

I tightened them up as well as I could without completely taking them apart.
SAND
Then I sanded them to rough up the surface, even it out, and remove blemishes, getting it ready for paint.

CLEAN

Cleaned them up well.
MATERIALS LIST
- Sandpaper and Sanding Sponge
- TSP Alternative
- Primer
- Paintbrush
- Paint
PRIMER
Next, I used this primer before I painted. So nice to be able to go outside and do this. Yippee! The weather has been SO warm and beautiful the last few days.

PAINT
I’m feeling very “springy,” so I decided to use this gorgeous green color, Eucalyptus. I am not a huge green fan, but I absolutely adore this color.

One coat covered well.

I only had to touch up a few spots after the first coat dried.

I decided to fill these cracks with some caulk.

DISTRESS
Lastly, I thought they might look good with a little distressing, so once dry, I sanded all of the raised areas and edges.

DONE!
That was a super simple update.
But look how sweet they look now.

Completely different!

Isn’t that green just lovely?
And the slight distressing gives it some character, I think.

Can you believe these two Impatiens are cuttings from one (that I also still have) that my son brought home to me in a hand-painted pot when he was in 3rd grade?? And that was around 19 years ago!

And I have about 4 more cuttings in pots, too. Wow. (and no, I do not have a green thumb, so that is amazing! lol!)

While I was taking these photos, I looked to my right and saw Ryder boy, loving on his favorite, “baby bed”. haha! (That was his first baby bed in his tiny crate when he was a puppy, and he absolutely loves that old thing! Carries it from room to room.) He just had his 10-year birthday on the 28th of Feb. Can y’all believe that??!!

And I can’t leave out our sweet little Piper girl. She was to my left, lounging on a “blankie” in the new room. I have to leave throws around for here to snuggle up on. She loves them.

She will be 3 in May. How is that, also?! Gosh, time goes fast.
Anyway, not sure if I’ll keep these little glass topped nesting tables, but if I do, I might use them in here.

If not, they will hopefully find new life in someone else’s home.

What a sweet set of tables, and how amazing that you still have those flowers! I love that! Also, how can Ryder be 10??? XOXO
Thanks, Christy! I know, I’m amazed as well!! lol Yes, that time went so fast with him! xo
I love these little tables. They are so versatile. I am not a fan of distressing, but I love the color. The beveled glass is lovely. You were lucky to find them and have the talent to restore them.
Thank you, Donna! They are so cute!! xoxo
Your fur babies are super cute and I love that you still have those impatient plants/cuttings! These nesting tables are adorable and make really nice plant stands – I vote ‘keepers’! 💙
Thank you, Denise!! Probably will! xo
Such cute little tables and I love the distressing on those legs! Pinned. Kathy
Thanks, Kathy!! xo
What a fabulous fix on those tables. Love that color. Green is my very fav color. I love you have those plants still alive. Believe it or not I have a plant I got when I was seven when I went to the landscape store with my mom. I won’t say how old it is but it is very old now and still going strong. I also have shamrocks from my father’s funeral 26 years ago. So I totally love you have your sweet plants still doing well. ♥
This is such a gorgeous green!! Not usually a green fan unless it’s blue/green. ;) That is amazing, Michele!! Wow! So very special. xoxo
They turned out great. So much better!
Thanks, Lizzy!! I think they look so much better painted, too!! xoxo
These came out so nice and they look great in the spot you may keep them for. That is amazing about your impatiens plants. I had no idea they could last like that indoors. Always great to see Ryder and Piper, beautiful pups. Funny he carries his baby bed around with him. I put the spray Primer in my Amazon wish list. Love the idea of spraying to prime for certain things. Have never tried that but will. Happy almost Spring!
Thanks, Debra!! And they are still sitting in that spot as I type this!! So it’s looking good that they might stay, lol! Yes, they are the sweetest pups and make our lives so much better. Spray primer is a game changer sometimes. Really helps with certain paint jobs but also a huge time saver too. Yay for spring being on its way although sitting here waiting on this crazy weather they are calling for today is no fun! Hope you are not in the path as well! xo
