A Decorating Challenge – Shop Your Home (Foyer Part 3)
Today is the third and final “shop your home” series challenge.
I hope you guys have been following along!
But if you haven’t had a chance to, or are new here, myself and a few friends have been decorating one space over the last few months.
All with things we already own.
We’ve got plans for new challenges upcoming so be sure to follow along on our Facebook Forum.
You can request to join and then share your own decor, decor questions, etc, over there too.
It’s a great group! I hope to see you there. :)
Now onto this month’s decor change-up.
Completely different look than last time!
Just a little refresher ….. last month looked like this:
You can see how I decorated it the first month here.
I chose to style this old desk/table in my foyer. You can see what it looked like before and read about that makeover here.
As you see, the only thing I kept in this set up was the old book.
You can read all about the book in last month’s post here.
But I decided to add a coastal feel with a few nautical pieces on top.
The rest of the decor is all new.
Well…not “new”, just new to this space. :)
This vase/jar (it has a pretty lid) came from the thrift store last year.
The flowers are fake…yes…but pretty. :) I like fresh best but can’t always get those.
They came from Michael’s and I already had those too.
The mirror is actually a picture frame that I turned into a mirror with {*affiliate link} *Looking Glass Spray Paint .
It’s really neat stuff. I’ve used it quite a few times. You can also make “mercury glass” with it.
You can read about it in this post here.
The French print came from AC Moore a few years ago. It’s usually upstairs in my office.
I just LOVE it.
The books ….well, I just always have books around.
Southern Living Design book, Nicholas Sparks (I’m a sucker for a good romance! ;) ) and Miss Mustard Seed’s book.
I actually went to a class she had in Atlanta with another blogger friend of mine and got the book then.
You can read a bit about that here. (and see the picture I got with Marian/Miss Mustard Seed herself! :) )
The lamp is a TJ Maxx find and was upstairs also.
I love this decor best I think…of the three.
I am just so in love with French Country Coastal Cottage decor.
That is a mouthful, I know. But it is my favorite style.
With a bit of whimsy thrown in, of course. ;)
What’s your favorite style? I’d love to hear!
Don’t forget to see what my talented friends have done differently for Month #3 below!

I have to say this is probably my favorite. i love the freshness and color of it all.
Thank you Laura! :)
Nancy
I, also, like this version the best! It’s so fresh and bright, feels like a breath of fresh air!
Thanks Tess! Oh it does! I’m so happy it’s finally Spring! :)
Nancy
I also prefer this one. Last month was too dark! Now, I like the light blue and touches of pink :)
Thank you Stephanie! And I totally agree with you! :)
Nancy
Very pretty Nancy and you’re rock’n the Michael’s Faux Flowers (my go to when fresh isn’t an option too). Your vignette says “It’s Spring”! Like all the decor you used, especially your thrift store jar. I think #3 is my favorite so far too.
So pretty Nancy! Those walls look so pretty with the pink touches. All 3 months have just been gorgeous!
Thank you Christy! :)
Nancy
Absolute perfection!
Aw thanks so much Judy! :)
I am enjoying this one the most!
