A Colorful & Fun Little Christmas Tree – Great Kid’s Project!
So I’m looking through the Christmas stash at the thrift store and I see this….
Poor little Christmas tree….Yea, I know, it’s a sad looking little thing.
But I couldn’t help myself….I brought it home anyway.
I had visions of a little white tree with turquoise and silver ornaments. Maybe even covered in glitter!
Well, it didn’t quite turn out that way.
But as you can see, it did turn out colorful….and worthy of Whoville…..
I decided to spray it with White Gloss spray paint…but stopped short of trying to make it entirely white.
I was kinda liking that it looked like it had snow on the branches.
Although, the hubby said “what’s with the gray tree”?
Gray?? Where gray?? No, no, no…it’s covered in snow…See???
I can see the snow. Silly man.
This is part of the Michael’s haul I mentioned in another post here.
I just love the colors! And the glittery sparklie-ness of it all.
The little ball ornaments had gold tops which were just not going to do with this tree….
So I sprayed them white. Because they’re covered in snow too.
I decided to skip the orange balls and stay with the turquoise, hot pink, lime green theme.
Lacing these tiny little threads through those tiny little holes was fun.
Yea…no.
But look how cute it turned out!
What a fun little, funky tree!
And a great little project to do with your kids!
Each could have their very own tree and decorate it exactly how they like to keep in their rooms!
How fun!
I just love it….and the colors.
And the snow covered branches.
This was a really fun & inexpensive little Christmas project.
Have you done any whimsical little Christmas crafts like this?
